How will a minor in Computer Applications/Technology benefit me?
The opportunities are endless and include virtually any industry field or organization.

Does the program offer classes in Mac programming or just PC?
Macintosh programming is primarily handled through Intermont’s art and photography departments. There are not classes specifically designed for Macs as part of the computer applications/technology minor, although Mac courses are available on campus.

What equipment will I need to participate in the minor? Do I need my own computer?

It is beneficial for most students to have their own computer on campus anyway, but it is strongly encouraged for minors to bring their own PC or laptop.

Will I have access to computers on campus at time other than classes?
Yes, the PC lab is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Also, there are computers in the library that are available for student use, as well as in the Writing Center and the Mac Lab.

How many credit hours are required for the minor?

The computer applications/technology minor requires 19 semester hours of study.
