The legal studies program at VIC
offers three tracks: paralegal studies, legal studies and
criminal justice. The Paralegal Studies major is an American Bar
Association-
approved paralegal curriculum. The Legal Studies major
is designed for students who have an interest in pursuing a law
degree. The Criminal Justice major represents a holistic,
interdisciplinary approach to criminal justice, with a focus on
its legal and social aspects, including the component of
restorative justice. Students will be exposed to cultural issues
in the criminal justice profession.
Faculty consists of lawyers, judges, certified legal assistants
and other representatives of both the private and public sectors
of the legal community. These professionals bring real-world
experience to the classroom and are experts in the field.
