What are the available facilities?
The King Pharmaceuticals Technology Center/Laboratory is a biology computer center and lab. All computers are multimedia ready and networked. Adjacent space in the lab houses the department’s cadaver for advanced biology students.

The General Biology Lab is equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, plastic human skeleton, sphygmomanometers, spirometers, microtome and microscopes.

The Advanced Biology Lab supplies classes with both refrigerated and clinical centrifuges, spectrophotometers, microscopes, autoclave, a microscope/video camera/monitor system, incubators and a fume hood.

The General and Advanced Chemistry Labs are both teaching labs for chemistry and physical science classes.

What are the classes like?
General biology classes have a maximum of 25 students, and upper-level courses average five to 15 students.

Are there additional opportunities for biology students?
Yes. Interested students may study in Panama abroad have the opportunity to participate in the Worrell Honors Program.
