What can I do with a math minor?
The minor is designed to provide students with a solid background
in math. The minor is beneficial for biology and business students
seeking advanced degrees as well as education majors wanting to
gain an advantage with additional math skills.
What classes are offered?
Probability and Statistics (taught each fall and spring)
Calculus I (taught every other year in the fall)
Calculus II, III, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra (offered
as needed)
Is a specific calculator required for the minor?
An advanced calculator is required for the math minor. The math
faculty recommends either the TI-89 or TI-92, however, the TI-83,
TI-86, TI-85 or equivalent will also suffice.
Tell me more about the program.
The program is challenging but very beneficial. The faculty is
supportive and dedicated to helping each student excel in the
mathematics.
