alumni association - president's letter
A letter from the Alumni Association President:
During Alumni Reunion in October ’05, I became president of VI’s National
Alumni Association, for which I am honored. During the same weekend, over 150
alumni, faculty and friends attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the Van
Dyke – Davis Alumni House, the first center for alumni activities in the
school’s history. This is your house and mine, and it has quickly become an
important addition to the College. I hope to see many of you there during this
year’s Alumni Reunion Weekend on October 6-8, 2006.
As I reflect on my years at VI, I realize what an impact this place had on my
life. At VI, favorite friends and special memories were made. That has been
happening since 1884, and continues today, but only with our help. Please
consider your time at VI and join me in supporting the College. Support of our
alma mater can take many forms…returning for reunion weekends, attending
athletic events when VI teams are in your area, supplying guidance offices with
VI materials and recommending VI to prospective students, remembering the
College when preparing a will, and pledging our time and money to on-going
projects or programming. Regardless of how great or small we deem our
contributions, our support is crucial to the continued growth and success of
Virginia Intermont College.
I hope to see you back soon, and I look forward to your participation and
support.
Molly MANGES Boyle, ’73
Alumni Association President
