The Dining Hall is located in
West Hall and has recently been renovated. The original pillars
have been revealed and the room has been restored to its original
Victorian look. The Dining Hall provides resident students with
a 7-day meal plan including
breakfast, lunch and dinner. The dining
hall provides a 30-day menu cycle offering over 150 items. The
Virginia Intermont College Dining Hall has a reputation for providing
a spectacular menu selection with the taste and originality of
some of Bristols finest restaurants. A pasta bar, salad
bar and delicatessen area are available every day. Boxed lunches
and dinners are provided for students who will miss a meal due
to classes or other obligations. The Dining Hall staff is eager
to meet the special needs of Virginia Intermont students and do
so by supplying vegetarian entrees at every meal. For those who
are Vegan, have food allergies or any other concern; please communicate
these needs to the Dining Hall staff who will be pleased to accommodate
ones requests.

On Thursdays look forward to specialty bars including omelets,
stir-fry and sundae bars.
The Dining Hall also hosts special functions and holiday meals
including international meals, where food from all of the countries
that Virginia Intermont students come from is served.
One highlight of the Dining Hall experience is the Supper Club.
This is a time when Virginia Intermont faculty and staff wait on
the students while the President serves as the Proprietor
for the evening.
Special Requests
Birthday Cakes: Parents who would like to send their son
or daughter a birthday cake can contact the Director of Dining
Services, Pen Walker, at penwalker@vic.edu . Please include the name, residence
hall number and telephone extension of your son or daughter at
least two days before you would like the cake to be delivered.
There is no fee for birthday cakes for students who are residing
on campus.
Fruit baskets are also available for order. The cost is
$25 and includes a variety of fruit and candy bars. Contact the

Please include your son or daughter’s name, roommate’s name, room
number and extension at least two days before you would like the
fruit basket to be delivered. You can send your check or money
